| Please excuse me if this is a stupid question I am very much a Noob to this but Im looking to convert my workplace to using openoffice. We have some standard company templates that we use and i want to carry on using them. Is there a simple way to convert an MS office document to an openoffice writer document and keep the formatting? Thanks in advance for any help. |

There is no way to know without trying. Some Word things import perfectly and some are badly distorted. Unless you have some really complicated templates you should be alright.
Also, with a bit of practice it is very easy to set up a 'better-than-word" template in OOo with proper styles etc. _________________ jrkrideau

| Thank you for the reply, It wont import this particular template, so I think I am going to go with your suggestion and create a new template for Openoffice. |
