Hey fellows
I have accidentally deleted an odt file from a usb flash drive. The mistake was recognized right away and I rapidly restored the deleted file using a software for that (Recuva). It got my .odt back but, when I try to open it, Writer asks me to choose from some ASCII options and the file is gibberish.
The file is still 627 kB, so it must still have its content...
Please, if you can do anything, recover my file, it is on this link - https://www.rapidshare.com/#!download|569|3060581012|Relatorio_E.odt|643 . You will save me a LOT of work!
unfortunately there isn't any bak file on the user folder...
Looking forward to your help!!
Thanks |

thomasjk, thanks a lot for the link.
I tried renaming the extension to .zip and tried opening it with 7-Zip and WinRAR. Both couldn't open the file.

I even successfully restored a xls that was on the same folder and was deleted for longer time. That opened normally with excel.
The odt files, on the other hand, were 2 files (exact copies from each other) that were deleted at the same time and tried to be restored right after deleting. Both fail opening the same way |
