[solved]
Here is what I would like to do, I'm not sure if it's possible.
i would like a row to expand with the amount of lines placed into a cell from that row.
Thank you!
Aaron

I'm not sure that I understand your question
In menu-format-cells-alignment-wrap text automatically (when ticked will expand the height of the row to accomodate entries) _________________ If your problem has been solved please add "[Solved]" to the beginning of your first post title (edit button). |

Ahhh, awesome, I was hoping it was a simple fix, I am extremely new to spread sheets. You completely made my evening, I was over thinking/searching this one.
Thanks again!! |

Actually, may I bug you for another (hopefully) simple solution?
I used the text wrap, but when I press enter to get a break I am shifted to the lower cell. Is there a way to get the row to expand when I press enter?
Thanks,

Ctrl+Enter but it can only be done in the cell, not in the Formula Bar Input Line.

Right click on the row number and click "optimal row height..." and click okay. (The value you enter adds extra height if you want it. If you leave it 0.00 it will expand to fit the text)
You can also drag down on multiple rows and right click and set all of them. Or click the top left little square and select the entire sheet, right click on one of the row numbers and make it a setting for all rows in the sheet.
This works for columns as well, it will expand the column out sideways to fit any text..it's not really as useful though as in most cases you are trying to get the sheet to fit on a printout. _________________ Jared |

So I'm having a hard time with the form controls. I have the drop down selector in a cell and it works great, but I can't seem to contol the way the output of a date selection is positioned in the cell, especially if the row is vertically expanded. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this is my biggest obstacle for
completion.
Thanks a bunch
