I can't open my spreadsheets - the splash screen appears for a split second then disappears. When I right-click/open with, File Advisor tells me I have no program to open this .wks file although the file's Properties says it opens with OpenOffice.org Calc. I've just installed the latest version of OO and am baffled and would really appreciate some help/advice!

| Yes. I have set OO Calc to open .wks files but they still don't open |

And what makes you believe that this program should open each and every shit of computing history?

OOo can't open MS Works files. However Libreoffice can http://www.libreoffice.org/ |
