|
|
First off I am no computer wiz. I'm an average Joe and speak very little computereze, so please keep that in mind should you know how to fix my problem. Thank you!
I use openoffice.org 3.3.0 as my word processor. I typed a row of asterisks to mark a spot and when I hit the enter bar to paragraph they became a solid line. This line appears several places inside my document. How do I get rid of this thing?
Thank you in advance.

Those lines are added as formatting to the paragraph just above them. Put the cursor in that paragraph, select Format - Paragraph, select the Border tab, remove any lines in the square at the left of the dialog box (click on the line to toggle it), click OK. Repeat for all cases.
If your problem has been solved, please edit the first post in this thread and add [Solved] to the title bar.

| Thanks but I am having no success. The procedure does move the line about on the page but it does not eliminate it -- to my perpetual sorrow. |

UP DATE -- using a suggestion received at another forum to add the borders and then remove them did indeed eliminate the black line but I was left with undesired border I could not do away with.
Being unable to remove the border without seeing the return of the black line I restored the page borders and selected to color them white. Though they are still present I can't see them and that will suffice.
Thank you for your assistance here.
Now … where do I go to learn about styles? |
