Shortly after installing 3.4, Open Office crashed while using writer. Tried to recover document unsuccessfully.

I am not a techie, so went to Computer store . Technician there told me that there are problems with 3.4 and reinstalled 3.3.

Have the bugs been worked out and should I try installing 3.4 again?

There aren't any updates of 3.4 yet, so whatever you download now will be the same version as what you already have. What kind of document? If docx, remember that OOo doesn't support that format very well. If another format, please provide more information.

I've replaced version 3.4 with version 3.3 and am very reluctant to go back to 3.4 until I'm assured that problems in 3.4 are solved.
