Is there a way of reversing a list of items in writer? I have a document with 200+ entries one line per entry and I would like to reverse the order making the last item the first and the next to the last the second etc.

Probably there is but I'd suggest just pasting into Calc, adding another column with numbers and sorting there and paste back into Writer.

| Oh interesting idea! Is there a easy way to have a column be populated with numbers 1-256 (or whatever)? (I am sure there is...but not thinking of it at the moment...) |

Yes - enter 1 in the top cell, select the column up to row 256, select Edit - Fill - Series - default values.
