Hi, I am new here.
Is there a way to make the background image of a page unselectable?
I am creating a document with a full page image as the background. Unfortunately, when I am trying to edit the txt, I end up selecting the background image instead. I have found no alternative than to go through the navigator to select the text.
Thankl you

How did you make the background image? You should do that with a page style. If you just insert a graphic and move that to the background, chances are that you will select the image instead of your text, but if you set the background image in a page style, you can't select it (well, I can't). If you have a simple document, you can achieve that with Format - Page - Background tab.
If your problem has been solved, please edit the first post in this thread and add [Solved] to the title bar. _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista

Thak you for the quick answer.
I applied this solution and it did correct my problem.
But now, the bacground picture no longer extends beyond the margins. I would like the background to cover all of the page, while keeping the margins as they are.
How can this be done?
