| I want to change the default margins from 1.25 to 1 (.99) and have that as my default for any new document I start, I have tried the styles menu and the format menu. Every time I start a new document the margins are back to 1.25. What is the procedure for changing the default text document margins so that they "stick"? |

| Look for "templates; changing default templates" in help. Basically, you need to apply the settings you'd always want on a blank document, then save that as a template and designate that custom template to be the default for File - New. Beware of a bug:while file - New works correctly, Ctrl+N used to ignore your custom template, but that might have been fixed in 1.1.4 |
