OpenOffice won't recognize printer

I reinstalled OOo and now I can't print. I made an adjustment in the last installed version and changed the printer setup to "generic" but I can't seem to duplicate what I did before.
I am running OSX 10.3 and my printer is an Epson R800

The last time I had an apple was yesterday, (from my fridge) Smile . Not a Mac user myself but have you tried changing the setting from spadmin? also see this thread:

Those guys at neooffice may be able to assist.
