|
|
I have a mail merge which worked perfectly in OOo 3.3. I updated to 3.4 and immediately started having problems.
Files involved:
addresses.ods
addresses.odb (created from the above)
letter.odt
Here are the steps I go through, when it works. This is from within the text document:
1. Select print.
2. That brings up mail-merge dialog with the table rows shown.
3. Select one row to merge and click OK.
4. That shows me the printer dialog.
5. I set that as I like it and click Print.
6. All is OK and the letter prints.
When it fails, intermittently, the printer dialog simply does not show itself (number 4, above). Once that happens I must exit and restart Writer before it (usually) starts working again.
What I have done to attempt to solve this (unsuccessfully):
Unregistered the database.
Deleted the .odb file and recreated it.
Re-attached it to the text file. |

Did the rename of registrymodifications.xcu to registrymodifications.xcu.old.
Still get the same problem and need to exit out of Writer and restart to get it working again.
Actually, the problem seems to be more precisely described as follows:
The FIRST print always works.
The SECOND and subsequent prints always fail.
I really suspect a 3.4 OOo problem. Is there a way to officially report this? |

| Yes but first try the nuclear option in the link I posted. I don't have 3.4 installed because I use LO 3.5.4. Issue here https://issues.apache.org/ooo/ |
