IF THEN OR

I am trying to come up with a function that will evaluate a particular cell and return a THEN result OR another result.

Here is a sample of the data

KZ5MS
SM4GFL
K4AA

so I would like to count the number of characters for each line and THEN place the following information in a cell such as <call:6> for KZ4MS OR <call:7> for SM4GFL OR <call:4> for K4AA

I have 4 thousand calls to sort through of various lenghts.

Can someone help?

Almost got it. I need to include the < and > symbols in the label as well. I got the first one to show but having difficulty with the closing symbol.

right now it is showing

<CALL:6

BTW I checked your Dad's Call in my log of about 40,000 contacts over the last 20 years. Unfortunately I did have a contact with him in that time. Ham Radio is still a fascinating hobby. I got licensed in 1978 and have had a great time DXing, Contesting and just rag chewing--still very active.
