|
|
Hi there,
when I am generating my invoices throughout the report builder (V 1.2.1. under OO 3.3), some invoices are even longer than one page. This brings me in trouble, because I am not able to generate a subtotal / a balance.
Is there a possibility to generate automatiacially a subtotal on the first page (somewhere at the bottom area), i.e. 1.230,50 €?
And is there additionally a chance to generate on the 2nd page (somewhere in the top area) an amount brought forward / balance to next account with the same value ( 1.230,50 € in our example)?
And if I hear a yes in both cases, what do I have to do....?
Thanks in advance for your help
P.

Might I suggest, you create a DUMMY database, that is a database with some SAMPLE DATA, and, post it in such a way that others ( like me or others reading here ) can download the sample database / report.
That way, we could see exactly what you are doing and the resolution.
Below is a link to a sample database and reports I have posted.
For example, I have posted a SAMPLE database and reports at the link below:

You are absolutely right. It took me some time to create an english version. But here is finally my dummy db: http://de.openoffice.info/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=53941
Please take the first attachment "invoice report"
Kind regards

Thanks for the link. I checked it and the first impression was: Wow, this may be the way to solve my problems ...
But as a newbie I couldn´t transfer this to a solution, because
- the subtotals are allways on the first / one page. So there is no page break as needed in my case
- the grand total is in the normal report footer and not in the group footer. In my case I would need a hint for a group footer case
- I am only an less than average user
Could you use my link for download? Did it work?
Kind regards

I am not at all sure of what you are asking.
Yes, I did use the link you gave above to 'download' the file . . . I thought you wanted me to download the file, specifically ( (71.7 KiB) 3-mal heruntergeladen] ) :
http://de.openoffice.info/download/file.php?id=7769&sid=269fd49bec4b15f8ac07a139232a910b
The report changes I made were 'simple'. I did a sort on the output, not only by "Customer" but also for a given customer ( invoice ) by date, just to make the report more meaningful. Also, the column I added, AccTotal was to have the report ( not the SQL Query ) calculate the Accumulation Total, by date. While this column is being displayed, it does NOT have to be shown on the report.
That is, you could have the column INVISIBLE, but, IF a page goes beyond a given number - N number of lines ( I do not know how many in your case, because the number of lines printed will depend on the title, logo etc ) .. . you include a page footer with the 'last row' calculated value.
Also, just so you know, since I am a member of the English language forum ( http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/ ) but NOT the German language forum ( http://de.openoffice.info/ ), I could NOT post it to the German forum. That is the reason I sent it by email, sorry.
I was hoping the HINTS I gave you in the OpenOffice Base file I emailed to you would help YOU to further develop the report to meet your requirements. Since I am not certain I understand your requirements, I do not think I can help you further, sorry.
