Hi
Is it possible to ensure that linebreak doesn't occur in some part of the text, for excample some special format code (1 222 23) that has spaces in it? Something like html <nobr> ?

Non breaking space: Control +Space
Non breaking hyphen: Control+Shift+-
To be able to see these differently turn on Field shadings: View > Field Shadings (or Control+F . _________________ Cheers, Ian

| Is it possible to do this with other characters? For example, I don't want any line breaks in a file name such as /etc/init.d/httpd. |

Same problem here. For example, I don't want this trunc[ated] word to split at the bracket, but OO splits it. Stupid really.
Word does the same thing (not sure about OO) with abbreviations so R.Consist (one I use a lot) gets split at the period. I haven't had that problem with OO, but lines should not break except at space, hyphens and a few other characters.
WordPerfect is the only one that seems to get this totally right.
I'd like to see a way to force WP-like behavior in OO |
