The problem persists:
I have arranged to manage the page styles, but as soon as I save and close the doc, when I reopen it, all the page styles are damaged , so the work is lost !
Ex: I have 6 page styles, bu when I close, allt he styles I made are erased, and I get back to the default one.
any suggestions. |

I will assume you don't mean the new page styles are lost from the document you created them in.
To retain these page styles for new documents you need to create a default template. Just open a new doc, create the styles in the Stylist. No text should be in the file unless you want it everytime you open a a doc. Now save the file as a template and set it as your default template. See Help for how to do this.
Styles can also be imported from a file where they exit. Format > Styles > Load - check Pages and, if you modified OO's existing styles instead of creating new ones, then also check Overwrite. Click From File and use the file you were taking about and you should have what you need for your default template. BTW, you can store lots of other preferences in the default template. |
