Disabling the zoom slider

Hey folks,

Is there any way to disable the zoom slider in OO Writer, or at the very least move it or lock it at a single setting? Call me clumsy if you will, but I often find the zoom suddenly exploding into my face when I drag the scroll bar down a little too sloppily, and since this has been going on literally since the zoom slider first appeared, I don't hold out much hope of me changing - so I need the program to change.

I've poked around the OO settings and the internet, and haven't seen anything about it, so obviously it's a long shot. But if there is some way to do it, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks!

Oh, and not sure if it's relevant or necessary, but I'm currently rocking OO 3.3 on Windows 7.
