|
|
I have used SOffice for a number of years under Windows OS and have recently changed to OOo 1.1.4 on Win XP. I converted some of my SO docs from .sdw to .sxw which worked fine - as expected.
I am also looking at moving to Linux system and as such have tried Fedora and Mandrake but noticed something weird. When I load a .sxw document under Fedora using OOo the line spacing changes and the text carries on to the next page or transfers across columns where used. Under Mandrake it works fine. If I use SO 7.0 to open the .sxw file under Fedora it also works fine.
Why the compatability issue ?
I am currently running OOo 1.1.4 under XP sp2 and also under MandrakeLinux 10.1 so there seems to be no conflict, but this effect under Fedora does seem strange. _________________ used staroffice since SO5.1 |

You are sure the font used in the document is installed on all systems? Same version?
Could there be differences in the templates on the machines in question? _________________ Cheers
