Hi everyone,
I am new to OOo, and fairly new word processing in general. Most of my experience has involved bumbling through MS word with varying results.
My issue:
I am making a resume. I had success inserting my name and contact information as a header. I used "format>stylist>page style>first page" to place the header on the first page only. I saved a copy as an MS word 97/2000/xp .doc. This version prints perfectly, and when I copy and paste directly to an email, there are only some minor formatting changes. However, most prospective employers request emailed resumes be sent as attachments. So, I emailed myself the attachment. The first time I open the attachment the header is there, but it's greyed out. When I open the attachment a second time, (from the email client) the header is not there at all. The main body of text is still there. I have tried saving in different formats, but word 97/2000/xp.doc seems to work best.
If someone could give me a point in the right direction, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Mike |

Hi,
I don't know if it's the answer to your question and maybe you've tried it already, but you could save / export your resume as a pdf file and then send it to potential employers? You can do that with any OOo document via: File > Export as pdf.
Cheers
