I need instructions on how to install the Clipart Library. I tried reading the readme section but I am afraid that I did not understand them. Thanks. |

How to install my OpenOffice.org Gallery
1)Surf to http://hu.openoffice.org/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=377 then download the latest version of my Gallery by name: Galéria - Gyűjtemény 1 (version). The current version is 1.22.
2)Unpack the zip file with subfolders into (default) „C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.0\share\gallery\” folder under Windows or into (default) „/opt/OpenOffice.org 2.0/share/gallery/” directory under Linux.
3)Run OpenOffice.org program and check the new Gallery themes and items in Tools menu -> Gallery. If you can not see any new item you have to restart the OpenOffice.org application and the Quickstarter too. |

Fenix*NBK* or DannyB, are there any more recent updates to the advanced clipart gallery macro other than what is at http://n.ethz.ch/student/meiersi/pub/OOo/ ?
I really like this gallery, but on most computers I install it on (XP sp2)the clipart disappears after a reboot. All the themes still show up, just no art. |

Happy new year!
Happy new OpenOffice.org experience...
We at hu.ooo have created a version with integrated extras: Gallery, Temöplates, Documentations and Fonts. It is only in Hungarian this time, but no one has hold to install a language pack onto this version... So have try have fun with Premium edition!

|
|
Unfortunately I never really understood why pictures of any kind (be they graphics, photos or anything) are supposed to be incorporated into an office suite and why not kept in a separate bundle to be imported when needed. In particular, why they (the majority) are in a form unintelligible for (most) other programs? The OOo galleries are a mixture of photos, png's probably svg's and what else. In my case they take up about 70-80 megabytes, and all that within the program suite. It is hard to believe that all this burden has no effect on the program at all.
Is it possible to export all of them into a separate library where they could all be seen by a normal picture viewer? (The only picture viewer I know of that can more or less show svg's is Futurix Imager.) The sdg, sdv, thm files do contain illustrations but they are impossible to see otherwise except "from inside" OOo. Anybody has an idea, please? |
