Cannot get referenced records to show in Base reports

I just started using Base today, but I can't get the data from the fields to show up in a report. It shows the number of the referenced field but not the actual data. I tried Help and couldn't find anything so I think it must be something I am missing. I am using an Access database which shows up fine in the Tables but I cannot get any Reports. Help!
