I am using OOo 2.0 Beta (1.9.79).
I created a List Style called JAM Outline, which has the following numbering structure:
a) text
i) text
* text
I then created a paragraph style called "Outline" and on the "Numbering" tab I selected my "JAM Outline" Numbering Style from the dropdown list.
The first instance of changing the style of a paragraph to "Outline" using the Stylist results in numbering in the format noted above. However, when I change the style back to "Default" to type some more body text and then change the style of the following paragraph to "Outline," the numbering picks up where the prior Outline numbered list left off.
I know I can change the numbering by going to Format ... Paragraph, picking the "Numbering" tab, and checking the "Restart with this paragraph" box. This is quite a hassle as I would like to have "Restart with this paragraph" selected as the default each time I invoke the "Outline" style for a paragraph. It seems to me the best way to accomplish this would be to have the "Restart with this paragraph" checkbox replicated on the "Numbering" tab of the Style formatting dialog.
Absent that ability in the current version, is there a shortcut way to make my "Outline" style always begin renumbering with [in my example] a) ?
Thanks,
John Miller
