| How do you stop the program from remembering words and then finishing them for you because it remembersthem? |

Don't know for the english interface, but it should be something like MainMenu>Tools>Auto-Correction (you will find the right tab and option there I am sure).
I have translated the german menu entry literally, so I don't know if it has that exact name in english GUI.

Tools > AutoCorrect/AutoFormat... > Word Completion tab > Deselect Enable word completion
