Is there any way to make OpenOffice occupy less hard disk space?
My install of Writer and Impress already add up to 127MB (as shown at Add/Remove Programs). |

The short answer is no. OOo is pretty much totally integrated so everything installs. The difference between installing all elements or only one is not much. If you've installed it piecemeal then I presume you've installed one of the beta versions. These have a lot bug reporting code in them.
Cheers

Simple answer: No! You can't minimize it more than you can deselect components in the installer. That is the maximum save of free disk space.
However, you might wanna check the available build options to optimize things, for that you have to download the sources of course.

Dependant upon your file system you could also compress the OOo directory. _________________ Arch Linux
