I am a writer trying to format my manuscript properly for submission, and am new to OOo. I am trying to put a slug in the header on the right side of the page, which is my name and the page number. I have successfully done this, but I want the header to be absent on page 1 of the document, with the following page starting with the number 2. How do I do this? It seems I can't independently delete the header on page 1 without deleting all the subsequent headers.
Thanks ahead of time.

In OOo version 1 this is complicated, but in version 2 it's easy.
In OOo 1, you need to define a "page style" just for the first page. Create two pages styles (see Format->Styles->Catalog). Then use Insert->Manual break to define the break between the first page and second page. |
