Sad
Whenever I have tried to paste a table with pictures from a web page to OO HTML Editor, I was waiting and waiting and waiting ...
OO seems to reload every picture again and again, even if the same picture is used all over the document (e.g. navigation arrows). I don't know about the competition but I'll have to look for alternatives if there is no solution to this problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

...must be a big table. When I try to paste your message from Mozilla to a html doc in Writer, Writer also needs some thinking for a second or two, but it's no big deal.
It may work better if you first save your page locally on you hard drive, and then read it in using File Insert.

Question

No, it does not have to be a huge table to slow down the pasting. If I manually remove all IMG tags from the source, it will load without delay. As long as there are images in the sourece OO triese to load them and if I disable the image-display it still loads them but doesn't display them. Wish I could get DSL in this area ...

I originally wanted OO to assist me in removing images fromHTML pages, therefore I have no intentions to feed OO with pre-edited HTML source.

Given the fact that I am pasting the HTML contents from IE, one could easily get suspicious these days that a certain Bill has purposly tried to create troubles here ... : )
