I have just installed Open Office 1.1.4 on Red Hat 9 (shrike). In Draw, I select text (T) and enter the text in the box. When I click out of the text box, the frame remains with an X from corner to corner and the text disappears. I have tried the same thing on Open Office on Solaris and it works fine. It also works on NeoOffice.
