Hello all,

I'm new to forums so bear with me. I am still using 1.1.2 tried to update but the site must be down or something.

The problem I'm having is I can't do a page preview before I print something. The option is there but it is grayed out so I can't use it. If anyone could help me out I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you!

OK, I just downloaded and installed the new version but I still can't access the page preview. What's going on?

strange indeed.
You do have a printer installed, do you? Which OS are you running?

I have a Canon Multipass MP360 multi function printer. I use XP home with SP2 installed.

I should note that I did have the print preview at one time but for some reason it has stopped being accessible.

I really need this feature so if you can help me out it'd be great Very Happy

Hm, so there 's no preview then, but can you print?

Have you tried 'repair'?
In XP, run Control Panel, click Software, and run OpenOffice "change". Select 'repair' and follow the instructions.

Me again! I just opened on older document and the page preview is not accessible! It appears to work in new documents but not older ones I want to modify.

I do not have a "Software" link in my contol panel so I don't know how to get to the OpenOffice "change" section you advised me to find. Can you tell me how to find the repair section?

Ok, but first, try this: try to 'save' the old document that gives you troubles under a different name. Maybe OOo opens it in the restricted 'read-only' mode, which greys out almost all functions (except saving). (This happened to me also, after I did a back-up and deleted all my files, and later put them back in the 'my documents' folder. For some obscure reason, OOo only allowed to open them in read-only mode. After saving the document in a different location, the document was ready for editing).

Alternatively, you can access 'repair' by running setup.exe, this is the file you used to install OOo on day one. Select the option 'repair'.
