Hi, just loaded OO a little while ago. I am trying to open an on-line excel file. I keep getting an error stating
"Error loading document.
http://www.webaddress.com/documentname.xls
The host name www.webaddress.com could not be resolved"
When I click "OK", I get another error stating "An API call exited abnormally"
I tried to open these docs with my laptop which has win 2000K and MS Office pro on it and didn't have any issues.
The machine I'm having an issue with is a Sony Viao with XP home edition installed.
Any Ideas? Thanks in advance. |

Hi James,
Thank you for your reply. I tried the associations with the file types and no luck. This is also happening with Word documents (.doc) as well. I also have netscape and have found that I can open the documents in this browser as It launches a window and asks me what application I want to use.
Has anybody else been able to open internet word and excel documents through IE with open office? |
