page numbering start at page 16 ?

How can I start a document as, e.g., page 16 ?

my 40 page document containing lots of figures, sections, tables does not keep the layout from one day to the other and also regularly breaks down (while working at different parts)

While it is just 5MB, I need to keep it in smaller parts and either join these parts later or save the parts separately as pdf and join the pdf parts.
