What is the reasoning behind having every new version of OpenOffice install as a second version rather than upgrading the current? Even if it were a checkbox that allowed me to clean up the old one so I didn't have to install, then uninstall the old version.
This is the version on Windows. My Linux Package managers all seem to handle this for me. |

Not all. OOo 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 will install on top of an earlier version. 1.1.5 and 2.0 should do this once they are fully production but whilst they are only suitable for testing, it is more sensible to have them install separately. _________________ Arch Linux
