Hi all,
I have made a tuto in OOwriter and inserted some images in frames ...
How can I copy those images without copying the frame itself in order to paste them somewhere else ?
When I rightclic on the picture i cannot save the .png or .jpg file without the frame
so I cannot insert the image in a wiki page for example ...
Please help me I am not too familiar yet with OO... |

| OpenOffice saves files in a zip format, so you could rename it to .zip and open it up to get the images. |

Using Window XP, and 1.1.4, I had no problem. Are you sure you are selecting the image within the frame, and not the frame itself? First left-click somewhere in the image, and then right click to copy. The image pastes readily into an image editor for saving.

| It seems that nobody else has your problem. I'm also using OOo in Linux, and as David, I have no problem to select and copy images inside frames. Strange... |

Actually, I do have your problem. But I'm so new to Linux, I'm of no help.
I read your poste and decided to try what you describe-- I get a great copy of the whole screen-- but not able to select only one small portion (crop).
In Windows XP it is real simple: "Ctrl"+"PrtScrn"--- takes the snapshot--- then paste it into Irfanview. Select the area "cut" & "paste" it into OOo Writer--- done.
I'm assuming I'm still just too used to Windows--- perhaps someone with more Linux experience can help us both.
