Drawing in table resizes to fit and zoom won't change back

ooo 1.0.3 on XP

If I have a draw object inside a table, and while it is open for editing I drag the borders (should change crop level, and normally works like that). If I drag it to a larger size than the table cell it is in, it just zooms out (the object's zoom level, not the Write document's) until everything still fits in the table cell.

This is understandable, but after this point I can't zoom back in, even if I crop back down to a smaller document size, and even if I drag the draw object out of the table.
(I am trying to zoom in using + on the keypad; it works until I click anywhere, scroll anywhere, or go back to the main document, then zooms out again)

Help! This is getting really annoying, I've tried going option-by-option on everything relating to the drawing, searched google and oooforum under as many search term combinations I could think of, and still having no luck. Thanks in advance!

I can't seem to repeat the exact behaviour that you have[1] but I'm using 1.0.2 on GNU/Linux, I have a suggestion:-

Do you really have to edit the drawing object inside the table? One solution might be to edit it as a sperate file/object and then convert to a png file or something and insert into your document.

If I'm doing a long document I usually have an Impress file full of the little pictures which I then insert into the main document as required, this means it's easier to use the pictures in other documents afterwards.

The other thing that might help is right clicking on the object and selecting "Anchor" then "As Character" but perhaps you already tried that.
