|
|
Sorry - I'm hoping a friendly someone here can help. My girlfriend worked on a file over the weekend at home on OpenOffice and now she needs to edit it at work.
Unfortunately, both her and I only have Micro$oft Office at work, so we're stuck in a bit of a muddle!
Please could someone get in touch via PM or email ( andrew DOT pang AT N0 SP4M lehman DOT COM) so I can send the .ODT file to be converted?
Appreciate this may sound a little dodgy, but hopefully you can tell from my spelling and grammar (and the domain name of my email address!) that I am not a scammer / virus distributor / anything untoward.
Thanks for your help in advance,
Andrew |

| If she's still at home then she can Save As to .doc. It's in the "Save as type" drop down menu. |

Thanks for the help.
I should've explained better. We have open office at home, but at our respective offices, Microsoft Office. She created a file at home and saved as odt. She emailed it to her work address.
She got to work this morning and couldn't open it. i was also at work, and couldn't open it.
However, I found OODC - which converted it to HTML which we could then read.
Note: Can't install applications at work! |

Just for such emergencies http://portableapps.com/apps/office/suites/portable_openoffice. Stick it on a USB stick or a CD and keep it in the briefcase. _________________ jrkrideau
