I have now installed OOo 2.0 (and no other versions) but get the following message on trying to start each OOo program and before being able to specify a file to open:

"Due to an unexpected error, OpenOffice.org crashed. All the files you were working on will be saved now. The next time OOo is launched, your files will be recovered automatically. The following files will be recovered: (an empty box)"

I have up-to-date XP Home SP2, the latest MS office version and JRE 1.5.0_04 installed.
What's happening?

You might have the same issue as Drew http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=24739. If not, the fix Drew used might still work for yourself.

Very Happy Fixed by uninstalling everything, ending ALL other running programs (i.e. nothing left on task bar), and then re-installing and re-booting. Everything now works fine, and I am a happy man!
Many thanks for the reply.
Perhaps an instruction to this effect could appear on the install window?
