I have posted this problem in Calc under thread:
http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=24532
but no one there seems to have an answer.

When I download a xls from my bank it contains HTML and in OOO2 opens that way.
Previously I used to open it in OOO1 as a spreadsheet with no problem.

I tried ne-nameing the xls as csv and opened it in OOO2
and this was the first line:
<TABLE width=600 border=0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0><TR><TD><strong> Kontonummer xxxxxxx

BTW the csv opened identically in OOO1

To check I opened the unaltered xls in OOO2 and got the HTML version
and in OOO1 I got an easy to use xls.

Does anyone know how I can make OOO2 ignor the HTML as do the other programms?
