Clarification of version ref. in the setup instructions

I am about to install OO 1.1.5 and currently have 1.1.0 installed

In the setup guide it states the following:

If the version number is identical to the version that you want to install,
you must uninstall OpenOffice.org, before you can reinstall it.

So what is the 'version'?

Is 1.1.5 considered a different version than 1.1.4 or 1.1.0?

Or is the last digit or two considered 'release' or 'sub-release'?

Must I uninstall ot not?

You should be fine. I upgraded from 1.1.4 to 1.1.5 without any problems (in fact, it asked me if I wanted to update my 1.1.4 install).
