When I select the Direct Cursor, I should be able to set the cursor anywhere in the document, but thee cursor always snap to the left, middle or right side of the document.
I think it has something to do with the auto function, but I cant fugure out how to make it work the way it should.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I believe that behavior is normal when the Direct Cursor option is set to 'paragraph alignment'. Change the option to 'Tabs and spaces' to have the cursor insert itself in more areas of the document. This setting can be accessed at:
Tools > Options > Text Document > Formatting Aids
Hope this helps. |

Thanks a lot for your help.
It works fine now.
I use to use staroffice 5.2, and this function was default at that time.
Again Thanks!

| So are StarOffice 5.2 and OpenOffice.org very similar? I imagine they are but have never used StarOffice before. |

| StarOffice 6.0 and OpenOffice.org 1.0 are very similar. StarOffice 5.2 has very little similarity with 6.0 or OO.o 1.0 |
