Am trying to do a table that fills the entire page. When I select the table
dropdown and select (example) 4x9 I get a 4x9 table that stays in the
top part of the page only.Been going nuts trying to figure this out.I'm
sure it's very simple but I'm missing something.
Help please.Thanks.

It is a right pain in the elbow trying to resize each row by dragging with the mouse. Using the vertical ruler helps, but there is no simple way to resize all of the rows with the mouse by dragging the bottom of the table with the mouse.
What you have to do is use the Table menu, Autofit, Distribute rows evenly, or set fixed row heights. Open Office is a bit old-fashioned like that, relying heavily on dialogue boxes rather than using a purely visual way of working. _________________ Fonts * Opera * Oo Tips * FAQ * New Forum

Select, say, the left column. Then Right mouse option ...Row / Height. Change to 1".
