I'm not sure if this has ever been mentioned before, but I think it would be neat if when opening an OpenOffice program, it would display the program's name (Base, Writer, Calc, etc.) on the splash screen. It wouldn't affect the program in any way, but I think it would be a neat touch. Just my 2 cents  |

That would be a major change as OOo is one program. Having multiple splashscreens would really complicate things with little gain.

Disabling the flash screen won't really speed it up. However, if you wish, edit the file soffice.ini in the OOo binaries folder and change
to
