| OOo's choice of shortcuts is a bit limited compared to MS, but you can quite easily customize it: go to Tools -> Customize -> Keyboard. There click on a shortcut you want to use, select a command you want to assign and click on Modify. |

As far as I understand the question, this option does exist, but [ and ] keys can't be used with modifiers. You'll have to pick other shortcuts. In the keyboard customization dialog, choose an appropriate shortcut and find "format -> Increase Font" in the option list, press "Modify". Do the same for "Reduce Font". The only difference: the size will change not by +/-1, but by +/-2 points.
If you really need exactly +/-1 point, I'd advise styles rather than macro. |

I stand corrected. I don't see it on any of the standard toolbars or menus. Maybe I removed it already. I would recommend using styles every time. Applying "Increase Font" doesn't modify the paragraph style so one is likely to end up with paragraphs of different font sizes.
One slight anomoly:
Increase Indent/Decrease Indent
but
Increase Font/Reduce Font
Hardly worth making an issue for this. _________________ Fonts * Opera * Oo Tips * FAQ * New Forum

No wonder. It's really not seen anywhere on surface — you've got to dig into commands to have it. |

instead of using ctrl+[ and ctrl+] i used o and p since [ & ] are not allowed ^_^
but the problem now is the the max increase font is 72 though decreasing is not a problem. |

|
|
| Using Tools/Customize/Keyboard in Open Office 3.3 writer I made keyboard shortcuts to reduce and increase the font size. As esperantisto pointed out here, however, this changes the font size by two points instead of only one, which can be very inconvenient. The messages in this thread are five years old now. In the meantime, has anyone come up with a way to change the font size by only one point using keyboard shortcuts? |
