|
|
My solution for lines on hand outs is as follows
View -> handouts
arrange slides to Left hand margin
To view the slide size, select it in the layout, and from the menu
Format -> Position and Size
Create a box on the right hand side of the layout the same heigth as slide and as much width as possible. (I used the drawing tools to draw a blue rectangle )
Change the background color as appropriate
Change line style to Invisible to loose the frame (menu bar)
Change Fill style to Hatching by
Right clicking on the object
Select area from menu
Select Hatching Tab
Select Black 0 degree from available hatches
Change spacing to 0.38"
Click on add and give the hatch a name like Note Lines 1
Click ok
Copy the object
Use Paste Special
Select Impress 8 from the dialog.
a copy should now be on the layout.
Move and repeat as necessary.
Save your work!.
I only use 2 slide per page as I don't like how small thing get with 3 or more. It can get very hard to see the details in any graphics.
This works for me. Can't say that it will work for you.
If i get inspired, maybe I'll make an .odp out of this. |

It works great. But, can we add this design to the other designs preset?
Good job. |

| Great for lines on the 2 slide page, but how can I creat a new format with just a column of 3 slides on the left hand side and the lines on the right hand side. - just like the PowerPt 3 slide layout. |

The basic directions are the same. Just resize the line boxes and add another for the 3rd slide. |

|
|
Great tutorial, but I'm having trouble printing the sheets
They end up been either totally blank or I only get one small slide (without lines around) on top to the left with lines to the right, and lines next to where the 2 other slides should have been further down on the sheet.. (I use 3 slides per side)..
Anyone who can help me solve this problem? |

This actually never worked for me (well, it did from a purely technical point of view), because if you frequently print out an uneven number of slides, you end up with empty frames, which looks very unprofessional.
I just installed OOorg 2.2 and it seems that this version is the first one that by default creates a grey frame around each slide in the handouts. Can anyone confirm this (I didn't find anything in the release notes), or did I miss that feature in 2.1?
Is it possible to change this automatically created frame, for instance with respect to its color and width? It doesn't print out well for me on our color laser printer, the left part of the frame is barely visible.
All the best,
Stephan |
