I regularly receive MS Word 2003 doc files with either EquationEditor or MathType formulas (don't really know which, possibly both). OOWriter will open the files and I can view the contents, but the instant I click on the page (or sometimes merely moving the mouse over the window) oowriter crashes and starts document recovery only to reopen the file and crash again. While it is possible to read documents in this fashion, it is HIGHLY inconvenient.
I've checked http://bugs.debian.org/openoffice.org-writer without finding a related bug (at least per subject line), but I figured I'd ask upstream first whether there any known compatibility issues which may be applicable?
