|
|
I upgraded from 1.1.5 to 2.0, and later I noticed quite a few file associations became orphaned (present in the registry but linked to nothing).
The extensions:
BAU OpenOffice.org 1.1 Configuration File
SDG OpenOffice.org 1.1 Configuration File
SDV OpenOffice.org 1.1 Configuration File
SOB OpenOffice.org 1.1 Configuration File
SOC OpenOffice.org 1.1 Configuration File
SOD OpenOffice.org 1.1 Configuration File
SOE OpenOffice.org 1.1 Configuration File
SOG OpenOffice.org 1.1 Configuration File
SOH OpenOffice.org 1.1 Configuration File
THM OpenOffice.org 1.1 Configuration File
XBA OpenOffice.org 1.1 Configuration File
XCS OpenOffice.org 1.1 Configuration File
XCU OpenOffice.org 1.1 Configuration File
XDL OpenOffice.org 1.1 Configuration File
It seems it would be ok to delete these associations now. Can anyone confirm that?
SDV is also wanted by QuickTime. If OOo no longer needs it presently, I hope it won't be re-adopted later. |

Don't know the answer to your query.
Suggestion:
Export the registry keys rather than deleting them. The way if you do need to put them back, you can import the existing keys. _________________ Dale
