|
|
I have a page background image that has bits that need to show top, left and bottom (kinda like a C). Running the risk of being flamed to a crisp, in the word processor that shall not be named, I could set the image as page background, adjust the page margins so the text didn't overlap the image and ermmm, well, that was about it.
In Writer, the background image will not extend beyond the text body, no matter what. I could set the paragraph indents, sure, but that still leaves the image overlaps top and bottom.
Manual page breaks, I hear you say? Possible, but this is quite a long document. Part of the reason why I use a PC to type documents (and not a typewriter is because of auto-pagination.
Is what I'm attempting possible in Writer? Should I put in a feature request?
Thanks in advance for all replies! |

Set the page margins to zero, or the printer's minimum margins. Apply a white border to the page, and set distance to contents to indent the text from the border.
See this page for an example. _________________ Fonts * Opera * Oo Tips * FAQ * New Forum

I am once again reminded that there are a lot of people on this planet that know a lot more than I do! So simple and yet so effective.
Thank you - it works perfectly. I've bookmarked your site so I don't have to be this embarassed again. |
