how do i add a header to one page of work and not add headers to all pages :plz help |

You need to have a specific page style. Headers and footers, among other things are associated with a page style
If all you want is a first page without a header and the rest of the doc to have a header, simply make the style for your first page First Page from the Stylest (Hit F11 to bring it up)
Then on page two add the header.
To change page style in other circumstances go:
Insert >Manual Break>Page Break > and select a different style from the one that you are using. This page style will continue until you insert a another page break / style change.
You can use any of the ones already defined or if you want you can right click on a page style in the Stylest, select New, and design your own page style. _________________ jrkrideau
