Can anyone let me know if Writer has an outlinning function similar to MicroSolth's product. I've been looking but haven't seen anything other than being able to create heading styles. I need to be able to move headings and 'body text' around in a way similar to Word. Preferably with a separate outline view. It's make or break for me with the app.
Thanks. |

Writer has not a direct equivalent of the "View Outline" function. You should enter headings by applying the approriate Heading styles to the titles. When you are at the start of a heading, Tab or Shift+Tab will promote/demote the heading.
Forrearrange an exisitng structure, you can use Navigator, F5. Press the second button in the second row to view only the headings. You can now move headings (and text underit) by dragging the headings and promote or promote them. |
