[]I believe openOffice to be a splendid piece of software, but unfortunately being American it doesn't have a British Thesaurus, or if it has I can't find it. If you choose English (uk) the Thesaurus does not work. You therefore have to choose English (USA) and then up it pops!

Is this changeable?

If you can't get through there try
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=140364

nb you have to do a wee bit of editing for it to be installed. Read the Install file and get back if you have probs.

UK (GB) British English Thesaurus for OOo v2.0 now available

We've released an automated installer to add Paul H's British English thesaurus to OOo2 (2.0.0 & 2.0.1).

To reduce download size we've taken advantage of 7-Zip's greater compression abilities and packaged the files in a 7-Zip (.7z) compressed file.

This means that you'll need 7-Zip (for Windows) download here or p7zip (for Linux) to extract the files.

You can find the download here: http://www.8daysaweek.co.uk/downloads.htm#ukthesaurus
