Hello, All

I'm using OO2, with the standard Ubuntu 5.10 installation. However, I've run into a problem installing new dictionaries. The Wizard simply doesn't work; I click on the option and nothing happens. I then tried to install dictionaries manually, I think I've copied them to the right place, but can't get the dictionaries to work.

Could someone please give me instructions as to how to correctly install the dictionaries manually and/or correct the wizard bug?

IŽd really appreciate the input

Here:

you can find all the dictionary resources for OOo, including instructions for non-automated installation and the DictOOo.swx document, which is the installer wizard

HI folks

I have just been thru the frustration of upgrading from 2.0.0 to 2.0.1. My first task was to make Canadian English the dictionary. The Wizard goes to the old version of DicOOo, and would not load the dictionary.

I went to the ref RGB posted and downloaded the supposed new version [DicOOo-1.5.5]
, but it would not work until I renamed it to DicOOo, and removed the old versionfrom the dict/ooo folder, It appears that the Wizard in the new release still looks for the old version of DicOOo.

I also had the new dictionary loaded into the dict/ooo file for release 1.5. I believe it was the old version of dictOOo that did it.

All very confusing and the documentation is not very helpful.

Incidently, none of this works if the system loads the internet parameters for proxy to "manual". on my system.
