|
|
I copied a lot of text (500 pages) into a Writer document from a set of web-pages, but the web links in the text have been retained and underlined, and I can't find any way to get rid of the links. I also can't find any way to get rid of the underlines, except by manually correcting each one.
Can anybody please tell me is there any way I can correct this (apart from unzipping the file and editing the XML)?
Thanks a lot. |

1. Using keyboard or mouse highlight links
2. In the Format menu, choose Default |

OK, thanks, that's the manual way.
Since there are hundreds or even thousands of links there, I was hoping there would be a more automated way to do it.
However, if it has to be done manually, so be it.
Thanks. |

| I ended up unzipping the file, using a little Perl script to remove the links (and underlines) from the XML, and rezipping it. It was surprisingly quick and easy; I'll have to remember that. |

Try that with Microsoft Word. I read even the new MS XML format is more complicated than OpenDocument. |
