Hi,

I evaluate, if it is possible for our Company to migrate to OOo2 (I would like too!). Therefore I have to find out, which features OOo2 is missing, that we use with M$.

One thing I found so far, is the following:

A document is opened by User1. User2 opens the same document, and gets "writeprotected" in the Titlebar. Now User2 MUST edit this document. So he has to find out, by whom this document is opened.

Is OOo2 able to do this and how?

Thanks in advance,
Rene

Thanks for your reply.

So OOo does not have a file-locking-system? Do you know, if one will come? I dont need simultaneous writing now, I would just need a way to see, by which user this file is locked right now.

This feature is a must for us, to migrate to OOo.

Kind regards,
